Wasteworks/ Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)/ Green Check

Wasteworks has been developed over a number of years by Groundwork Wakefield and partners.

Wasteworks is delivered in 20 primary schools each year at Key Stage Two.

Groundwork has developed and delivered a teacher training and schools resource pack for further curriculum developments. This allows teachers to follow up on the lessons delivered by Groundwork and helps to maximise the benefits of the Wasteworks programme.

In conjunction with a range of partners Groundwork offers support for schools to promote recycling, waste minimisation and environmental responsibility under Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Green Check.
