Motiv8

Motiv8 is an alternative learning approach which can help empower young people to make positive choices for themselves, their community and the environment. The programme has been designed to support students who are struggling within the mainstream curriculum, who are at risk of exclusion or unlikely to make a positive transition post 16.

Delivery

Motiv8 has been delivered to schools across the District. Examples of the pupils projects include:

Carleton High – Transformed a concrete quad into a quiet seating area with raised beds, art panels and a solar water fountain.

Kettlethorpe High – Built a pond-dipping platform at the side of a stream running through the school, painted a mural and created new planting areas.

Wakefield City High – Transformed a shortcut into a surfaced footpath with seating area, new planting and fencing.
