Last year the Trusts in Yorkshire and the Humber:

• Supported around 390 projects
• Improved 31 hectares of land
• Actively involved 12,035 young people
• Landscaped 63 businesses with environmental performance
• Created 74 jobs
• Provided 6,561 training weeks

As well as counting how much we do we are trying to find new ways of measuring the quality of our work and what impact it has on the way people feel, think and act.

Last year we discovered that :

• 30% more people felt safe out and about in their community after projects had been completed*
• People directly involved in projects made on average five new friends each*
• The level of environmental understanding and commitment among children rose by 26% after working with Groundwork in school**
