Groundwork Wakefield
Community Pride is a development of the Greenspace Enterprise and Community Focus programmes and forms part of the exit strategy for the Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) training programme. Community Pride consists of three teams of five trainees that can work across the Wakefield District.
The key difference between the previous progammes and Community Pride is the development of a placement programme that follows on from the traditional ILM training programme and links individuals into employment opportunities. The placement programme provides trainees with the opportunity to work in more specialised environments, such as with Wakefield Metropolitan District Council's Highways Department, to provide them with the experience that they need to pursue a particular career path.
Community Pride operates on a more commercial basis and we are actively seeking more work. We are also supported by Local Area Agreement (LAA) funding. To engage our Contracts Team please contact Darren Holmes, Contracts Manager, on 01924 307288 or email Darren.Holmes@groundwork.org.uk.
Our team are dedicated to delivering environmental improvement projects, landscaping and grounds maintenance services across the District whilst providing training, work experience and employment opportunities in the area.
